Why Digital Marketing?
First, let’s clarify what digital and affiliate marketing are:
Digital Marketing is when you advertise products and services in the online space, and is as old as the internet. It’s a broad topic with lots of different sub-categories within it.
1. Advertising products online that you have either purchased or created yourself is
considered a form of digital marketing. All of the courses offered below and many of the business development products are considered digital marketing.
2. Some products have license agreements like MRR (Master Resale Rights) or PLR (Private Label Rights) that allow you to either resell as-is or rebrand them as your own products and then resell them for 100% profit.
Affiliate Marketing is one of the sub-categories of digital marketing. That is when you promote a product or service that another person or company created and manages, and you get a portion of the sale (or commission) every time someone uses your unique link to purchase.
1. I have several products to help you grow your business, that are provided by other companies or people. I am an affiliate for those products that someone else created and manages, so when someone uses my link to purchase, I receive a commission on that sale.
With terms that can be interchanged at times, it can be confusing! You can think of digital marketing as the larger umbrella, and underneath are many different sub-categories. Affiliate marketing is just one of those more narrow types of digital marketing.
